Learn from YouTube without the rabbit hole

One video. One output. Close recommendations. Come back tomorrow.

    Why YouTube kills practice

You open one tutorial. Suggestions, Shorts, and comments are the next click. An hour later the lesson is unfinished and nothing exists. The rabbit hole is the product. Practice needs the opposite: one video, then stop.

    The hole

    The 3-rule session

    • One video. Not a playlist. Not “one more.”
    • One challenge. The thing the video just showed, done on your own work.
    • One proof. A file, a draft, or a written result. Tomorrow stays closed until that proof is in.

What to do when you’re stuck

Ask for a hint on the same video. Do not open eight more. A hint is one sentence that unblocks the challenge. Another video is how the session dies. If the hint is not enough, write what you have and come back tomorrow. The proof can be small. It still has to exist.

    A 7-day example

CapCut: Day 1, three hooks written down. Each day after that, one video and one cut. Day 7, exported cuts you can post. TikTok works the same way: Day 1, three niche hooks. Day 7, a draft, not a scroll history.

The skill changes. The session does not. One video. One output. Recommendations stay closed.
