Guide
A course is not practice
You bought the course. Lifetime access. 48 lectures. You finished module 2 in March. That is a course.
Practice is this week. One lesson. One file. A date on the calendar. The receipt does not do the reps.
Course
- Bought once
- Curriculum on a sales page
- Progress bar in their app
- Stale the day the UI changes
Practice
- Scheduled this week
- One outcome
- Proof on your disk
- Can use a video from this year
What a course is good for
A map, if you already show up. Theory you will apply tonight. Not a substitute for tonight.
Where it breaks
The library becomes a graveyard of 12% complete. You buy a second course because the first one “wasn’t practical”. Both wait.
Side by side
| Course | Practice | |
|---|---|---|
| Start | Purchase | Day 1 video |
| Unit | Module | Day + file |
| Current | Often not | YouTube this year |
| Done | All lectures | The named file |
Do this tonight
Do not open the library. Open one video that produces the file.
If the course is useful, steal one lecture and put it on Day 1. Leave the other 47.
Seven days. Then you may buy nothing.
Common mistake
Waiting to “finish the course” before you take a client. The client needed the file last Monday.
